About the Instructor

Doug Keller
AScT, GDTP S-0383

I began my career in 1979 as a mechanical designer, acquiring experience in a variety of industries including sheet metal fabrication, conveyors, aircraft, precision heavy machinery, remote submarines, pressure vessels and hydrogen fuel cells. My most recent position was Senior Drawing and Design Checker, and Tolerancing Specialist with a world leading fuel cell manufacturer where I mentored and consulted with design, manufacturing and quality engineers, provided guidance in the correct application of GD&T, and developed and delivered highly interactive training programs in GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.

Having a thorough knowledge of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) series of engineering documentation standards has earned me a reputation for being a leader in resolving documentation and tolerancing issues.

I am certified by ASME as a Senior Level Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional. I have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), I am an Applied Science Technologist (AScT), and have completed an Instructor Development Certificate at the Justice Institute of BC.

The instructor is GDTP certified by ASME in accordance with the qualifications of ASME Y14.5.2 in the Senior level.
